Shipping quickly only matters if the thing you ship still makes sense after the deadline has passed.
Overview
There is a real difference between momentum and haste. Momentum carries the work forward. Haste often pushes the mess into the future and calls it progress.
This shows up most clearly in internal tooling. A rushed interface or brittle workflow can still appear successful on day one because people are motivated to use anything that removes immediate pain. The hidden cost appears later, when every small change becomes a negotiation with unclear code or unclear behavior.
The better habit is to ship systems with visible seams. If the structure is understandable, iteration stays cheap. If it is not, speed becomes a short-lived advantage followed by steady drag.
